Sex Education

Kamasutra Sex Education bears little resemblance to how we approach the subject today. How many of us have grown up with the notion that good sex is natural. If you haven't discovered it yet, take it from a consensus of sex experts, great sex is learned, not automatic.

Or as the Kamasutra states, "Sexual behavior is to be learned with the aid of the Kamasutra and the counsel of worthy men, experts in the arts of pleasure." Though Tantric practitioners would agree that "love is born of long practice," it's more common in the Tantric tradition for sexual initiation to be conducted by women.

Rites of passage at the time of puberty aren't common today as they were in many ancient indigenous cultures. As part of their education, young people of Vatsyayana's time were educated in sexuality, loveplay, and the 64 Arts. The Kamasutra claimed that the preliminaries to sexual intercourse involve sixty-four elements, probably because they were sixty-four chapters. The arts number sixty-four, and form part of the practice of love. In short, the well-rounded lover in ancient India was conversant and competent in things such as flower arranging, playing music, games of the times, creating environments, war, and economics, just to name a few.

Young people of both genders were trained and initiated from a young age. Life and lovemaking skills were taught early. For example, the Kamasutra states "A young girl should take herself off to an isolated spot to practice the sixty-four arts." Further, the Hindu love guide admonishes a master to take a whole year to teach his maidservant "the secret techniques and art of sexual relations" before giving her hand in marriage.

How different this is from the way our modern institutions view adult involvement in the sexual growth and development of young people? And while we're on the subject, how do adults today learn about the realities and joys of sexual pleasure? Very poorly, from our experience.

Kamasutra Sex Facination

What is this modern Kama Sutra Sex Fascination in the West with this once obscure sex manual?

Maybe it's because of the forthrightness of Vatsyayana, about things we're too ashamed or embarrassed to talk about today. Things like Kama Sutra Sex Positions and Kama Sutra Intercourse. He didn't pull any punches. The Kama Sutra was meticulous and graphic about seduction, foreplay, sex, and love relationships.Maybe our curiosity in this old book of sayings stems from wishing we lived in Kama Sutra Sex Positive society, instead of one that doesn't accept, value, or embrace erotic play as an essential part of life.

Maybe we're all just craving the kind of initiation, indoctrination, and training in this vital part of life as they offered in ancient India, as described in Kamasutra Sex Education and in the movie, Kama Sutra. We expect that much of the great appeal of the Kama Sutra today is its down-to-earth advice about foreplay, extending the sex act, and giving maximum pleasure. As teenage hormones begin to rage, who wouldn't be captivated by the wide variety of embracing, petting, caressing, kissing, scratching, biting, and copulating that the historic volume detailed?

Maybe our Kama Sutra Sex Fascination comes from its thorough categorization of Kamasutra Sex Techniques. Things "nice girls" don't share much about today and, regardless of what they claim, few young guys in the locker room know what they're talking about. That includes prostitution, homosexuality, group sex, and cross-dressing.

We suspect that another reason for the Kama Sutra's modern popularity is the average man's insecurity about how to deal with the realities of sexual anatomy how to please women. Shocking even by today's standards was the classification of lovers according to several characteristics, including Kama Sutra Genital Size which defined differences in sexual anatomy.

It just doesn't take much exposure to spam or adult websites to recognize how many modern lovers believe that size matters, especially of the male sex organs. See Kama Sutra Genital Size to learn how they addressed this concern nearly two thousand years ago.

Kamasutra History

Indian Kama Sutra History is valuable to know about to understand how to profit from its wisdom, and discard the outdated customs that don't apply today. You see, the Indian Kama Sutra wasn't an entirely original composition. The Hindu love guide is normally attributed to the author, Vatsyayana Mallanaga, a religious scholar and sage who lived in Pataliputra in North India between Banaras and Calcutta sometime between 200 and 300 AD.

But in actual fact, he was more editor than creator. Vatsyayana wrote the Indian Kama Sutra by compiling the sexual practices documented from earlier centuries. He summarized obscure texts of the erotic sciences from the vast body of Hindu erotology that already existed by the 1st Century AD.

The Kamasutra was composed in Sanskrit, the literary language of ancient India, probably sometime in the third century. It combines an encyclopedic coverage of all imaginable aspects of sex with a closely observed sexual psychology and a dramatic, novelistic narrative of seduction, consummation, and disentanglement.

But today, few know the Indian Kama Sutra in its original form. It was first translated into English by Sir Richard Burton, the British linguist and scholar in 1883. (This, by the way, is not the famous modern actor of the same name.)

Though Burton did much to unveil the secrets hidden in the ancient tome, he was somewhat constrained -- or maybe even misguided -- by the Victorian Puritanism of his times. Burton's highly-mannered, padded, and inaccurate nineteenth-century translation did spark major controversy when it was discovered being passed amongst noblemen in England. But, in spite of its notoriety, Burton's version wasn't completely frank or accurate. Yet, the modern world continues to entertain a strong Indian Kama Sutra Fascination.

Five Step Sex Arousal

FIVE STEP SEX AROUSAL

Massages are used for healing, relaxing, and tuning the body and is also a powerful means of arousing the body! One of the methods of body massage said to be in use during the reign of the Mughals is the full body massage in which the female would use her body to massage the body of her lover and vice versa. Of course, for a "full body" massage it required at least three more bodies to do the needful. Today, some call it the "sandwich massage" others just simply, Thai.

Well, since we can't really access such pleasures, it would be simpler to stick to what is possible. Which in this case means, your own dear partner. An evening spent massaging each others' bodies can turn out to be quite an event, provided of course, both of you are willing partners in the game. And yes, don't be afraid of experimenting and touching the part of the body that can give you maximum pleasure. Of course, as all things in life, build it up slow and steady. A mere oiling of the body followed by sex is not half as pleasurable as the teasing and the anticipation of the final act. Here are some massaging tips to awaken your body to hidden desires:

Face down: When in the mood, start with a shoulder press. Ask your lover to lie down on his/her tummy while you sit atop and press his/her shoulders. Avoid putting pressure on the spine. The idea here is to loosen up the body, to relax and enjoy your partner's hands on you. Use your finger pads to exert pressure. But goodness sake, don't dig your fingernails into the body!

Rake touch: Having relaxed your partner's muscles you can now proceed to rake your fingers up and down the torso. Not with nails, please! Only finger pads, soft but firm. This would release the tension in the nerves and would further loosen up the body.

Back massage: After the shoulders move down to the lower back kneading and palming the body as you go along. Again, be careful about not digging into the body. Instead, slide your palms, and knead the skin and muscles gently. Try to do it slowly and rhythmically. Use more oil if you think the skin of your partner and your hands require it. Lower back in men and shoulder in women contain the erogenous zones that excite the body. For women during pre-menstrual period a lower back massage can go a long way in getting rid of the tense muscles. While massaging this area, take special care of the sacrum - this is the triangular area between buttocks and the spine - very sensitive and responsive to touch. Lightly massage the area using small and circular strokes as you move lower to buttocks and the upper thighs.

Thigh might: Upper thighs are usually a major turn on. This is where you are bound to find yourself distracted. Follow your mood and the partner's pulse to explore this area slowly. It is all right at this stage to turn your partner over and give his/her genitals a gentle kneading. Remember to keep your hands well lubricated with water-based lubricants.

Sexual Energy Release Points, Neck and Ears: Encourage your lover to breathe in a deep and relaxing manner as you gently massage his or her neck, making small circles over the release points on the upper neck and about halfway up the ears. Now is a really good time to let the kissing begin. Remember, too, that a woman's breasts are highly charged with erotic energy and can create a dramatic arousal response when massaged or caressed.

CHOCOLATE AND SEX

Chocolates are believed to be an aphrodisiac. Its reputation started from ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations where it was thought to have magical and aphrodisiac qualities, where when taken, it enhances one’s sexual prowess. That is why it’s often referred to as food of the gods.
That was one thousand five hundred years ago.

Today, it is still considered as so and yet not magical nor as food of any god but of common men. One thing for sure is eating chocolates gives one a pleasant feeling afterwards. Chocolate contains more than 300 known chemicals some of it having qualities which might explain some of the pleasurable effects of consuming chocolate. Caffeine is the most well known of these chemical ingredients, and while it's present in chocolate, it can only be found in small quantities. Theobromine, a weak stimulant, is also present, in slightly higher amounts. The combination of these two chemicals (and possibly others) may provide the "lift" that chocolate eaters experience. Phenylethylamine is also found in chocolate. It's related to amphetamines, which are strong stimulants. All of these stimulants increase the activity of neurotransmitters (brain chemicals) in parts of the brain that control our ability to pay attention and stay alert.

After the “good-feeling,” chocolates also possess qualities that are beneficial to our health. Only, this is limited to dark chocolates since consuming the other chocolate by-products such as milk chocolate or white chocolate, or drinking milk with dark chocolate, appears to largely negate the health benefit. Dark chocolate, with its high cocoa content, is a rich source of the flavonoids epicatechin and gallic acid, which are thought to possess cardio-protective properties. Cocoa possesses a significant antioxidant action, protecting against LDL oxidation, perhaps more than other polyphenol antioxidant rich foods and beverages. Some studies have also observed a modest reduction in blood pressure and flow mediated dilation after consuming approximately 100g of dark chocolate daily.

Evidence from laboratory studies also suggests that cocoa flavonoids may possess anti-carcinogenic mechanisms, but more research is needed to prove this idea.Regarding its aphrodisiac effects, the consumption of chocolates give an instant energy boost, increasing stamina, giving it its reputation as an aphrodisiac. The energy boost was said to have come from the highly addictive substances of Phenylethylamine and Seratonin, which I have mentioned earlier, although women are more susceptible to the effects of these substances than men. This illustrates why women tend to be more chocoholic than men.

Three other chemicals are used to explain why chocolate makes people feel "good." "Researchers at the Neuroscience Institute in San Diego, California believe that 'chocolate contains pharmacologically active substances that have the same effect on the brain as marijuana, and that these chemicals may be responsible for certain drug-induced psychoses associated with chocolate craving'.” Although marijuana's active ingredient that allows a person to feel "high" is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), a different chemical neurotransmitter produced naturally in the brain called anandaminde has been isolated in chocolate. "Because the amounts of anandamide found in chocolate is so minuscule, eating chocolate will not get a person high, but rather that there are compounds in chocolate that may be associated with the good feeling that chocolate consumption provides.”In the body, anandamide is broken down rapidly into two inactive sections after produced by the enzyme hydrolase found in our bodies. In chocolate, however, there are other chemicals that may inhibit this natural breakdown of anandamide. Therefore, natural anandamide may remain extensively, making people feel good longer when they eat chocolate.
